A Hijacking In Progress

There are hearings on going in Washington D.C. that could change the landscape of our Nation for decades to come, and my fear is that many people do not even realize what is happening. I am speaking of course about the Senate confirmation hearings for potential U.S. Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan.

I want everyone to understand the importance of these hearings. First, a U.S. Supreme Court Justice is a life-time appointment. Second, consider the fact that the U.S. Supreme Court is one of the three branches of the Federal Government (Executive, Legislative, and Judicial). To put this into mathematic terms, the U.S. Supreme Court is 1/3 of the Federal Government. There are 9 Justices on the U.S. Supreme Court, which could potentially make Elena Kagan could 1/9 of 1/3 of our Federal Government. To put it bluntly and in simple terms, a Supreme Court Justice appointment is a really, really, big deal.

Now, who is Elena Kagan? Elena Kagan is the current Solicitor General of the United States, and an admitted Progressive Democrat. Make no mistake about it, Progressive is just another term for Liberal. Elena Kagan is perhaps the most unqualified candidate to ever be nominated to serve as a U.S. Supreme Court Justice. Elena Kagan has never served as a Judge, and prior to being appointed by Barack Hussein Obama as Solicitor General, had never even argued a case in a court of law.

I know that some left-wing liberal loon will read this, and instantly proclaim that I am ignorant of the law because everyone knows that a U.S. Supreme Court Justice is not required to have judicial experience, or for that fact, even be a lawyer. Of course, I do realize that Elena Kagan is not prohibited from serving because of her lack of real life experience on the bench, but, I prefer that anyone that is nominated for such an important position have such a background. The reason I prefer judicial experience for a U.S. Supreme Court nominee is simple. I prefer to have a nominee with a long history of decisions that we can look at to determine where they stand in relation to their interpretation of the law and of our Constitution.

Ask yourself this, why would someone like Elena Kagan be nominated to be 1/9 of 1/3 of our Federal Government. Out of the thousands of State and Federal Judges in this Nation, why would Elena Kagan be chosen for this position? How could Elena Kagan be more qualified to serve as a U.S. Supreme Court Justice over the thousands of Judges who actually have judicial experience? The answer is quite simple, Elana Kagan is Barack Hussein Obama's friend. Elena Kagan will be a rubber stamp for Obama's liberal agenda. Elena Kagan will never go against any Obama policy.

Elena Kagan and Barack Obama go back to the early 1990's, when both worked at the University of Chicago Law School, and both also were connected at the Harvard Law School. For anyone that has been living under a rock for the last several months, Elena Kagan previously served as the Dean of Harvard's Law School. By the way, Elena Kagan was appointed to Dean of Harvard’s Law School by Larry Summers, the current Director of the White House’s National Economic Council. Larry Summers is Barack Obama’s right hand man when it comes to economic policy. During her tenure at Harvard, Kagan attempted to ban Military Recruiters from Harvard. Speaking of the University of Chicago Law School and the Harvard Law School, let's not forget another person with a connection ties to both, that being Cass Sunstein, who happens to be Obama's Regulatory Czar. Cass Sunstein's views are so radical, that he actually believes that animals should have the right to file lawsuits against people. I know one thing, this administration has not given me any confidence in Harvard educated intellectuals running our Nation.

To say that the Senate confirmation hearing for nominee Elena Kagan has been frustrating is an understatement at best. It is frustrating to watch Elena Kagan dodge legitimate questions, and talk in circles. Of course it does not matter what Elena Kagan actually says during the hearing, since most of the RINO Republicans are rolling over and playing dead for the Democrats. I have been outraged by the clown-like behavior of the idiot Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who sits there and laughs like a buffoon. Speaking of clowns at the Senate hearing, the Idiot from Minnesota known as Al Franken (Democrat) was caught sleeping and doodling while Elena Kagan was speaking. There are some exceptions though like the Honorable Tom Coburn (R-OK), and the Honorable Jeff Sessions (R-AL), both of whom are doing their best to expose Elena Kagan’s liberal ideology.

Some people will say that Kagan’s appointment does not matter since she would only be replacing the retired Liberal Justice John Paul Stevens. With an appointment of Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court, there would still be five Conservative-Moderate Justices, and four Liberal Justices. Here is the problem though, what happens if one of the five Conservative-Moderate Justices decide to retire while Obama is still in the White House? What if god forbid, something happened to one of the five Conservative-Moderate Justices that rendered them unable to serve on the Supreme Court. The thought of Obama being able to completely take over the Supreme Court through one more Liberal Justice appointment is frightening. Make no mistake, many important Supreme Court rulings have ended up with a 5-4 margin. One example of this was the recent historic Second Amendment case McDonald v. Chicago, in which the Supreme Court correctly ruled in by a 5-4 margin that individuals have a right to bear arms.

In the 5-4 ruling on McDonald v. Chicago, it was the five Conservative-Moderate Justices in favor of our rights, and it was the four liberal judges who voted to disarm the American people. Of the four liberal Judges who voted against the Second Amendment, one of them was Obama’s first appointee to the court, Sonia Sotomayor. Incidentally, during her Senate confirmation hearing, Sonia Sotomayor stated that she supported the Court’s decision in the Second Amendment case District of Columbia v. Heller. The Heller case was almost identical to the McDonald v. Chicago case. So what changed? Why did Sonia Sotomayor tell the Senate during her confirmation hearing that she supported the Heller decision, yet in an almost identical case, she went against it? The answer is simple, Sonia Sotomayor is a liberal political activist, as is Elena Kagan. The fact is, Sotomayor and Kagan both know that once appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court, they are no longer accountable to anyone.

In my opinion, any Republican who casts a vote in favor of Elena Kagan to the U.S. Supreme Court should resign in shame. Anyone who knows anything about Elena Kagan, and still supports her for the Supreme Court is not a supporter of the Constitution or freedom. Elena Kagan is a liberal activist, and would be yet another political operative placed inside the Federal Government to uphold and support the Obama agenda.

At some point in the near future, there will be a Constitutional challenge to the individual mandate portions of the Obama-Care Bill. Does anyone truly believe that Elena Kagan would be able to put her friendship and political loyalty aside, and make a ruling on such a challenge in an objective manner?

The Liberals have already hijacked the White House and both houses of the Congress. We simply cannot allow for the Liberals to hijack the Supreme Court, for if we do, freedom is going to give way to tyranny.

Buying Votes In Spanish

Even before the Obama administration first took office, a long-term plan was developed to forever change America as we know it. To understand the plan, you first have to understand who Obama and his people are. Obama has always surrounded himself with America-hating, left wing liberal idealists who are determined to transform our country into a socialist utopia. Anyone who knew anything about Obama before the 2008 Presidential election knew what his agenda was. Sure, his campaign, with assistance of the main stream media did a great job as selling Obama as a moderate Democrat who would govern from the center, but I never bought it.

I have always thought that a good way to judge a man is by the company he keeps. During the campaign, FOX News brought out some relationships Obama was maintaining with people like Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, and Bernardine Dohrn. I still have trouble wrapping my head around the idea that a President of the United States of America could be associated with these three people.

Let's start with Jeremiah Wright, who I will not call "reverend", "minister", or "pastor". Jeremiah Wright is the racist, anti-Semitic, leader of a church in Chicago ,which Obama attended for over 20 years. Jeremiah Wright is also a close friend of Louis Farrakhan, another anti-Semite who hates America. Not only were Barack and Michelle Obama married in Wright's church, their children were baptized there also. But according to Obama, he did not know that Jeremiah Wright had the controversial views that were brought out by Fox News and Conservative talk radio during the election.

Bill Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, were both members of the terrorist organization previously known as the Weather Underground Organization. Both Ayers and Dohrn committed acts of terrorism as part of this organization. A government investigation into the Weather Underground Organization revealed their plans to "exterminate" approximately 25 million Americans who could not be transformed into socialist liberals. It is on the record that Obama is a close personal friend to both Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, and Ayers and Dohrn have even held campaign fundraisers for Obama.

During the election, I challenged several Obama supporters to tell me who Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers were. Not to my surprise, none of the Obama supporters even had a clue who these people were. The sad fact was, unless you listened to Conservative talk radio, or watched FOX News, you had no idea who Wright and Ayers were. What I quickly learned was that Obama supporters were mostly just members of a media frenzy. In my opinion, many of the people who voted for Obama in 2008 only did so because they thought they were being part of something historic. They didn't know who Obama really was, or that Obama actually hates America.

So what does all of this have to do with buying votes? Be patient, I am getting there.

After Obama took office, we soon got to see what his political views were, and it was the far left agenda some of us knew was coming. Obama quickly expanded the size of government, and went on an unprecedented spending spree. It did not take too long for the working class men and women of this country to form various Tea Party organizations to protest the spending. Part of the spending spree was a long battle of government run health care, which changed the face of American politics.

It really was not until the health care debate that many people finally woke up to the reality of who President Obama was. Even when every poll in the nation showed that a majority of the American people were against the Obama-Care Bill, it still got rammed down our throats by the Democrat controlled Congress. What this did was further enrage the working class Americans. The Obama-Care Bill was a key part of an overall strategy of the Obama Administration. Obama knows that his big-spending, big government, entitlement program machine is not going to get him votes from the working class American people to achieve re-election in 2012. The key for Obama is to buy votes from other groups. The hope for the Obama-Care Bill is that it will buy him millions of votes from the poor that it will off-set the lost votes from the working class.

Part two of buying votes is what Obama and the Democrats call "Comprehensive Immigration Reform". With the current political climate, Obama realizes that the illegal immigrants hold the key to his re-election in 2012. The reason Obama and Democrats are attacking Arizona for their Immigration Legislation has more to do with votes than border security.

What Obama and the Democrats are after is Amnesty for illegal aliens. Obama knows that if he can get a bill passed that grants Amnesty for all of the illegal aliens, he will buy himself millions of votes. If Obama is able to get Amnesty for the illegal aliens, the illegal aliens will then become part of Obama-Care. Do you think the illegal aliens will vote for anyone other than Obama if he is able to pull this off?

What is coming to get the Obama administration some momentum to push for an Immigration Bill, which will surely include Amnesty, is going to be a sickening. The main stream media, which is nothing more than a propaganda machine for the Obama Administration will give us sob story after sob story about a hard working illegal alien facing deportation, or the illegal alien honor student facing expulsion and deportation. They will do all of this to take the attention away from the drug dealers, gang members, and thugs who stream across the border every day.

I have no problem with immigration, when it does done legally. America is a Nation founded with laws, and those laws have to mean something. Our Nation is broke, we have no jobs, and we are still allowing thousands of people everyday to cross our southern border illegally? Does that make any sense?

In the coming months whenever you hear Obama or any Democrat politician say "Comprehensive Immigration Reform", replace that with "Buying Votes in Spanish", because that is the real goal.

Oil and Leadership

In my opinion, everyone would agree that the current situation in the Gulf of Mexico is an enormous disaster, and many will agree that the situation in Washington D.C. is a disaster as well. The Nation is now getting a first hand account of what happens when an unqualified liberal community organizer takes over as President of the United States of America. This Presidency was a disaster before oil started washing up on the shores of the Gulf States, the only difference is now more people realize it.

Throughout the crisis in the Gulf of Mexico, Obama has shown everyone how a politician/community organizer, with no experience as an executive, reacts to a real emergency. It took over a week before the Obama administration even said anything about this situation, let alone respond to it. In the first few weeks of the crisis our Commander in Chief found time to vacation in Chicago over Memorial Day, entertain sports teams at the White House, and even attend private concerts. It was not until several weeks into the crisis, when Obama was watching his poll numbers plummet, that he finally started to act like he was concerned.

Soon after the oil slicks started to form, the Dutch Government offered the use of ships equipped to skim oil off the surface. Not only did Obama not allow the Dutch to assist us, he did not even allow the Governor of Louisiana to build protective sand barriers help stop the flow of oil onto his shores! Every time there is a great disaster somewhere in the world, whether it is a earthquake, tsunami, or flood, the United States is always there offering aid and assistance. What is happening in the Gulf of Mexico is a disaster. Why has Obama not suspended the "Jones Act" to allow foreign flag vessels to assist with the clean-up in the Gulf. Why would it be wrong for Obama to plead for assistance from the rest of the world? If other countries have technology and equipment to help us, we should be using it. The most likely reason that Obama has not suspended the "Jones Act" to assist in the Gulf clean-up has to do with his relationship with Labor Unions. The big Labor Unions would not want foreign governments assisting with in the Gulf because union jobs could be lost. We all know that Obama and the Democrat Party is in bed with big labor, which explains why Obama will not suspend the "Jones Act".

Besides the failures of the Obama administration, we have an apparent disappearance of key cabinet personnel. The Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, has been absent to a point they should be considering putting out an APB to see where she is at. For those of you that don't know, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is one of the agencies under the direction Napolitano. I would think that FEMA would play a large role in this disaster, and therefore Napolitano should be directly involved. In addition, has anyone heard from Ken Salazar lately? You know, Ken Salazar, the Secretary of the Interior. Clearly both Napolitano and Salazar should be involved in this incident, but both are being hidden from the American people so we won't see how incompetent they both are. Instead, Obama throws Coast Guard Admiral Thad Allen out in front of the crisis, to protect the inept Napolitano and Salazar. I wonder if the fact that Admiral Thad Allen could be near the end of his career has anything to do with his selection to command the response of a disaster that has been mishandled by the Obama administration from the word go.

What our Nation needs right now is a leader, not a liberal ideologue with no management or executive experience. We need a Commander in Chief, not an Activist in Chief.
